Organizational Skills

Posted on | February 3, 2009 | 1 Comment

I decided, with the nudge of others, I needed a new photo of myself on my website. Today a friend of mine, Cindy, came by and took some shots of me in the yard. Cindy is the person who is teaching me….or should I say… trying to teach me how to become organized. Such a new word in my vocabulary. Being organized is a dream as it would save me lots of time and I now realize in order to get everything done for my business I absolutely need to get and stay organized.
Does anyone else have problems with lack or organizational skills? I am determined to learn these elusive skills and will pass them along to you as I discover them.

For now I know:

Touch each piece of paper once
Purchase a pretty container to place your bills when they arrive so they don’t get lost
Make a list of your business goals for the week and tape it to your computer
Don’t wear a patch on your eyes so you can’t see the paper taped to your computer
Keep notes in one, yes one, notebook….this way you can always find them as they are not scattered everywhere.
Start a file system that makes sense to you.
Purchase a tab maker to print your headings for your files
Drink lots of waterdsc_0255
