THE BIRTH OF AN EVENING
Posted on | June 17, 2010 | 6 Comments
It is a magical evening in Taos, New Mexico as I am sitting watching the sun set with such a golden glow that I am mesmerized with the beauty. How many times can we say this? The apricot sienna transparency caresses the adobe walls in such a way it takes my breath away. As I watch this spectacle I realize this goes on throughout the world….in our community….in our back yard. To witness this part of life it requires us to take the time to be silent. This is the only way we can see …actually see.
Time to witness the birth of an evening. Time to become one with the universe.
When we take this time to become part of the universe we become more real as an artist. We actually see…we look….we are aware. This is when we are whole.
Take time this week to look….beyond what is normal…..be silent…be still….absorb and breathe.
Enjoy the journey to the inner part of YOU.
Much love
gwen

Oh Gwen, this is a beautiful post and your part of New Mexico is truly inspiring.
Slowing down, being silent and finding that place deep inside yourself where your truth resides is so important. I think it is what this world needs a lot more of these days. I am glad you have found the place which is right for you…as it helps you to remind the rest of us how important it is to do this.
Thank you, Gwen, and have a truly beautiful weekend!

@Kim, I think we all realize we talk, teach and write about what we need in our lives. I certainly needed the peace, quiet and beauty that allows me to go within.
Hope you are doing well.

Ahh the beauty of New Mexico..
p.s. when I fell 18 months ago it took away all my feeling of safety. Only now getting it back…

@Michelle Vandepas,
Yes, the beauty of New Mexico. The feeling is different here….more grounded.
Yes, falling takes away all sense of security. I will be glad when I can walk without thinking.
