Color, Design & Edges Workshop
July 19-23, 2010

We all know about color and we all know design is extremely important to produce a successful painting ……but what about the edges? Edges are what I call the “ transition of feeling”. Edges give the painting sensuality, softness and power.

We will cover in this workshop:

Color: Neutrals and their power
Combinations of colors that work best
The Psychology of color….how it effects you and others
The beauty of glazing your colors
Design: What makes a great Design
A natural way to lead the viewer to your center of interest
Develop your personal design style
Edges: What do they mean?
How important are they?
Why are they the “transition of feeling”?
How to place those edges so they work in your painting.

Learn how to combine these three important elements to compose paintings that are outstanding.

Workshops in Taos are enchanting. Taos is filled with that creative light that inspires us to enter our soul. We spend full days creating art, visiting galleries, museums and eating delicious Mexican cuisine ….then going back to our casitas only to continue to talk and dream art.
